I’d love a range extender. Just unsure if they’d be suitable as a daily driver over 200-300km?. Are they robust enough to handle longer distances?. Are they prone to getting punctures?

Know this is an old video. But I’ve no idea what type of answer you expected from the Ford dealer or Ford customer service? Expecting them to put it in writing that your new engine won’t fail is simply unreasonable. They’ve got no idea what your driving style is like. No manufacture in the world will be able to say that an engine won’t fail. All they can do is honour the warranty. If it blows again, it is what it is and they rectify under warranty

There wont be much that will keep up a friend of mine used to race motorbikes with his about the same power

Decided to sell my lotus to look for either a Cayman or Boxster. Will probably end up in a 987.2 2.9. Prefer roof off motoring but the shape of the Cayman is nicer. Decisions, Decisions!

I have the same TT they are amazing in the wet 😅 sometimes doesn’t feel like 250bhp being honest feels a bit sluggish sometimes

I find that with MPS4S the traction issues are pretty minimal on warm dry days

What mods have you made to your cayman?

I get drops of power in my i3s here and there - Tho I drive it like I stole it and am at Vmax 160km often…. Plus I live in a hilly mountainous area and that just adds to the load. This car is so much more enjoyable to drive in almost all circumstances compared to my v10 R8 with the gated manual. I contemplated swapping the i3s for a Taycan now that those have gotten “cheap” but I drove 3 different variants - including the Turbo S and those did nothing to float my boat.

Get a 2.7 and sleep at nights...as a 3.4 will do the bore scoring. And LESS IS MORE if you can REALLY drive a car! it is a test for you to wring every last bit out of a slower sports car

Apparently I have heard these newer Honda’s have taken a dip in quality. A friend of mine has a non-Type R version of this and had some issues recently which were apparently flagged as electrical. Bit of a shame if true but lovely cars still! I really miss my FN2 and I think I’m going to get another.

Do love seeing cars like this being used on track. Something about a big powerful saloon or estate being driven as intended. Colour is lovely too!

Test drove an F10 M5 Comp and an M6 Comp a few months ago and was left underwhelmed for a strange reason - they just didn't feel as quick as the numbers suggest, due to how refined and heavy they were. Dare I say not that engaging either. My old M140i gave me more of that "airy" feel in my stomach every time I floored it. Wasn't that thrilled considering the M6 Gran Coupé was my dream car for the longest time 🫤
